<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage capable of perfectly shielding the transmission of vibration during movement, and a recording apparatus equipped with the carriage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The carriage 153 having a recording head 152 mounted thereon and a moving means 156 connected thereto, reciprocates a recording area by the moving means to perform recording by the recording head. In the carriage, a recording head mount part 31 and a connection part 32 to the moving means are divided and coupled by a coupling means 33 having a linear elastic member 33A. Thereby, the vibration from the moving means is shielded in the division portion and is not transmitted to the recording head mount part.
