<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fasten a screw while supporting the screw, suppressing an increase in facility costs even when automation is introduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: By a normal rotation drive of a motor 3, a worm 7 is rotated through a reduction gear 5, and a socket portion 9 at the distal end thereof is rotated to fasten a bolt 13. The rotation of the worm 7 is transmitted to a worm wheel 23, and a screw support arm 25 is turned around a rotary shaft 31 as the worm wheel 23 is rotated. Upon a reverse rotation of the motor 3 with a head 15 of the bolt 13 inserted into the socket portion 9, the screw support arm 25 is turned so that a locking claw 45 at the distal end thereof approaches a socket portion 9, thereby allowing the shank of the bolt 13 to be engaged into a groove 45a. When fastening the bolt, upon a normal rotation of the motor 3, the screw support arm 25 is turned so that the locking claw 45 departs from the socket portion 9, thereby releasing the support of the bolt 13.
