<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal module which is improved so that reduction in the luminance in the four corner parts of a screen (a liquid crystal panel) can be avoided by concurrently using cold cathode tubes and LEDs. <P>SOLUTION: The cold cathode tubes 3 are disposed behind the liquid crystal panel, the LEDs 5 are disposed behind the four corner parts of the liquid crystal panel, and luminance reduction of the four corner parts of the liquid crystal panel is avoided by light emitted from the LEDs 5. The positions of the cold cathode tubes 3, displaced on upper or lower one side and the LEDs 5, are horizontally disposed in one line, behind an end edge part on the upper or lower one opposite side of the liquid crystal panel, and thus, luminance reduction in the right- and left-corner parts on the upper or lower one side of the liquid crystal panel can be avoided, by light emission from the dislocated cold cathode tubes 3; and luminance reduction of an end edge part on the upper- or lower-opposite side and the right- and left-corners thereof of the liquid crystal panel may be avoided by light emission from the horizontally disposed LEDs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
