PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for inputting instructions thereof are provided to find a location of a central object on a background image or predict motion when the central object is not completely recognized, thereby reliably inputting instructions. CONSTITUTION: A camera(121) consecutively photographs image frames including a background image and a central object in a fixed photographing range. A control unit(180) compares each image frame from a fixed reference image frame with a previous frame through the image frames in an image recognition input mode. The control unit generates one virtual background image by combination of a new background image to connect the new background image with the previous background image.
