PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device of an air conditioner capable of securely sucking dust by cutting the dust which has become long and thick like a twisted rod to make them short while mitigating the load on a dust removing part. SOLUTION: The filter device comprises a suction nozzle 3 movable along an air filter (not shown in the figure) for removing dust contained in the air passing through a heat exchanger (not shown in the figure), a suction device (not shown in the figure) connected to the suction nozzle 3, the dust removing part 9 provided for both or either of right/left sides of a suction hole 8 provided for the suction nozzle 3, and a dust removing part cleaning part (not shown in the figure) separately provided for the air filter. The dust removing part 9 is made to contact the dust removing part cleaning part while moving the suction nozzle 3. Even if the dust scraped by the dust removing part 9 becomes long and thick in a twisted-rod shape, the dust removing part 9 contacts the dust removing part cleaning part to cut the dust short while mitigating the load on the dust removing part 9, which can improve the suction property.
