METHOD FOR RECYCLING TAR SLUDGE DISCHARGED FROM COKE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enables recycling as a variable material of tar sludge which has been conventionally disposed as a waste. SOLUTION: A solid-liquid mixture produced by cooling an exhaust gas from a coke oven is allowed to stand and be separated in a decanter 2 of an exhaust gas purification apparatus 1 and tar sludge having an adjusted moisture content is taken out. The tar sludge is transferred via a receiving pit 4 having heat retaining and stirring functions to a vibration mill 5. The vibration mill 5 operates to pulverize the sludge by a vibrating rod and at the same time adjust the viscosity in a temperature range of 50-70°C to 200-1,000 mm2/s.
