<p>A mobile communication system comprises a base station which forms a cell and transmits the downlink signal spread with a downlink scrambling code into the cell, a mobile station which is connected to the base station by radio, and which communicates with a device to be connected via the base station when located within the cell, and a relay station which receives the downlink signal, generates a limited downlink signal indicating an area in which the function of the mobile station is limited on the basis of the downlink signal, spreads the limited downlink signal with a specific scrambling code different from the downlink scrambling code, and transmits the limited downlink signal spread therewith into the limited area. The downlink signal includes a base station peripheral cell list indicating scrambling codes used in other base stations on the periphery of the base station. When receiving the downlink signal, the relay station determines the specific scrambling code on the basis of the base station peripheral cell list.</p> |
