The present invention relates to a gas arc welding machine and an arc cutting machine, and more particularly, to a gas arc welding machine and an arc cutting machine, in which a hole is formed in the coil wound onto an electric transformer, and cold gas is applied to the hole to improve transformer cooling effects, and gas or compressed air of which temperature is raised through the transformer is employed to significantly improve welding efficiency. The gas arc welding machine and the arc cutting machine of the present invention, generates an electric arc from the welding part or cutting part connected to the transformer, welds or cuts an object by using the generated arc, and uses gas or compressed air in welding or cutting, wherein said transformer is wound with a coil having an interior with a hole, and gas or compressed air is introduced into the hole.
