The present invention relates to an expansion apparatus for a portable device, and more particularly, to a portable device having a multi-layer structure which is a bar-type portable terminal with improved durability and functional expansibility to a variety of multimedia, wherein one or more plate structures with a display, keypad, a battery device, slot devices, and the like, are arranged to be rotatable about a hinge shaft. To this end, a plurality of layers are formed beneath the bar-type portable terminal, and each layer is provided with a plate and a hinge shaft such that the plate can be rotatable about the hinge shaft from a main body housing toward the confined or unconfined space, and the plates in each layer can be outwardly exposed from the main body housing, thereby enabling a display device, an input device, a battery, and a variety of slot devices to be easily used. |
