<p>The device has a scanner (S) e.g. stripe-light scanner, detecting scan data of a dental model in a scan area (Q). The scan data are fed to an electronic storage unit. A positioning area (P) in which a jaw joint movement simulation device (K) i.e. articulator, is arranged in dental model halves (Mx, My) of the dental model so that the jaw joint movement simulation device is sectionally held in the scan area of the scanner. A drive unit is provided for relative movement of the model with respect to the scanner. The simulation device is magnetically fastened to a housing (G). An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a computer-processable, three-dimensional image of a dental model.</p> |
