Unselected animations, selected animations, and pose animations are correlated with characters. A display part (202) repeatedly displays the unselected animations for the characters corresponding to the background music on a selected screen. When a receiving part (201) receives an input instructing that selection of a character displayed on the selection screen, the display part (202) plays back a pose animation until the best timing is found. Until the player is notified, however, that a selection instruction has been received, the selected animation is played back repeatedly with the background music. After completion of playback of the pose animation, an output part (203) outputs the fact that a character has been selected. |
