PURPOSE: A method for reducing the maximum power-to-average power ratio of an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM) system is provided to be performed by reversing a part of partial bit. CONSTITUTION: A serial-to-parallel converter(120) obtains data related to an input signal from an information generator(110). The serial-to-parallel converter outputs parallel data blocks. A data block processor(130) calculates alternative symbol sequence. An inverse fast Fourier transform converter(140) inverse-fast-Fourier transforms the calculated alternative symbol sequence. A sequence selector(150) extracts an alternative OFDM signal sequence and transmits the sequence through a transmitter(160). |
