The method involves displacing two covering parts (P1, P2) of a plate arranged on both sides of cutout pieces of a first cutout piece assembly in a direction perpendicular to the cutout pieces, so as to overlap first regions (10) arranged on both sides of the cutout pieces while a second region (20) arranged between cutout pieces of a second cutout piece assembly is deformed for forming a cord. The first regions are fixed with each other. The covering parts of the plate are folded toward each other for forming a binder. An independent claim is also included for a binder including a hooking unit provided with a crown.
