<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can shift from a power saving mode to a normal mode at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The printer makes a print of image based on image data while being equipped with the normal mode and the power saving mode for limiting power consumption. The printer includes the first CPU for controlling the printing operation, and the second CPU which makes the control so that the first CPU starting operation and the printing mechanism starting operation of the printer may be performed in parallel when shifting from the power saving mode to the normal mode while having the power consumption less than the first CPU. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
