<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge filter type dust collector capable of sufficiently shaking down the dust of a cartridge filter by backwashing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the cartridge filter type dust collector constituted so that a cartridge filter, which is composed of a cylindrical support member 1 of which the body part has air permeability, a filter member 2 mounted so as to surround the support member, a centrally hollowed disk-shaped upper cover 3 mounted on one end of the support member and a disk-shaped lower cover 4 mounted on the other end of the support member, is arranged in up and down directions so that the upper cover is turned upward and a nozzle jetting compressed air for backwashing the filter is faced to the upper end opening of the cartridge filter, a first obstacle plate 5 for obstructing the flow of the compressed air from the nozzle is horizontally mounted on the upper part of the inner wall surface of the support member and a second obstacle plate 6 is horizontally mounted on the almost middle stage part of the inner wall surface of the support member. The first obstacle plate is constituted so that a through-hole having a small diameter is provided to the center part of the first obstacle plate and a plurality of fan-shaped through-holes are radially provided around the through-hole having a small diameter while the second obstacle plate is constituted so that a through-hole having a large diameter is provided to the center part of the second obstacle plate.
