<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a parking support device capable of performing turn-back to avoid an obstacle when guiding a vehicle to a parking target position. <P>SOLUTION: A turn-back guidance control is set when a direct guidance control to directly guide the vehicle 30 from a vehicle stopping position to a parking target area G cannot be performed. In the turn-back guidance control, the vehicle 30 is guided along an auxiliary guidance path K1 from the vehicle stopping position up to the vicinity of the parking target area G. Next, moving forward by manual steering is permitted, and a notification is performed when a direct guidance to the parking target area G can be performed during the moving forward.
