The present invention relates to a pointing device and an electronic device having the same. The pointing device according to the present invention comprises: an operation member that runs by a user; a magnet disposed at a region under the operation member; a cover for covering the operation member in a manner that a portion of the operation member is exposed; a core portion for supporting the magnet; a plurality of patterns extending outward in a curve shape from the core portion; a plurality of fixed portions fixed to the cover, the fixed portions being provided at ends of the patterns, respectively; an intermediate member including a plurality of fixing projections extendedly protruded from the core portion to fix the magnet and core portion to the operation member; and sensing means for sensing a motion of the magnet to output an electrical signal. Such a pointing device is included in an electronic device.
