Provided is a method for manufacturing a single crystal optical lens, wherein, in a single crystal lens processing step, a bar-like member is cut from a single crystal base material having a melting point of 2000°C or higher but below 2900°C, then heat treatment is performed at least one time prior to a lens assembly step. In this case, the temperature of the heat treatment is preferably 0.50 times the melting point or higher but not higher than 0.67 times the melting point.
