<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform charging in a non-contact charging system. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitting coil 25 of a charger 2 and a power receiving coil 12 of a charged device 1 function as a separable transformer. In the charged device 1, current induced in the power receiving coil 12 by electromagnetic induction between coils 12 and 25 is rectified by a rectifying circuit 13. A secondary battery 11 is charged. A current detecting part 15 and a display part 16 are arranged in the charged device 1. The current detecting part 15 detects the magnitude of a current induced by electromagnetic induction, and a detection result is displayed on the display part 16. Thus, a user obtains charging efficiency (coupling efficiency of non-contact coil), to mount the charged device 1 on the optimum position on the charger 2.
