<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of display unevenness, by making a liquid crystal display panel which contacts an elastic body easy to return to the original position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display has: an erected liquid crystal display panel 12; a support frame 24 which supports a lower end of the liquid crystal display panel 12; and the elastic body 26, which faces the opposite surface of a display surface 10 of the liquid crystal display panel 12. The support frame 24 has an inclined surface 28, which turns obliquely in the upward direction which faces the liquid crystal display panel 12, at least at the lower part of the elastic body 26. The liquid crystal display panel 12 is supported on the inclined surface 28, when it moves in a direction for pressurizing the elastic body 26, and a force for sliding down the inclined surface 28 by self-weight is applied to the liquid crystal display panel.
