PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridge former by which plowed soil easily and smoothly flows and edge portions of ridges are tidily finished. SOLUTION: The ridge former is constituted by equipping a lower side part B for forming the bottom surface C1 of a furrow by pressing plowed soil downward and lateral side parts 22a for forming side faces C2 of the furrow by laterally discharging and pressing the plowed soil, wherein vertical central parts D of the end portions of the lateral side parts 22a are brought to locate backward of the lateral central portions of the lateral side parts 22a and the vertical central parts D of the end portions of the lateral side parts 22a are brought to locate backward of the upper end and the lower end of the end portions of the lateral side parts 22a.
