<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure accurately a rolling resistance of a tire. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device 1 for measuring a rolling resistance Fx by pressing a tire T onto an endless running simulated road surface 2 includes: a carriage 4 for loading on one end side, a tire spindle 8 for holding the tire T rotatably; a load application pedestal 5 for applying a load on the tire T by moving the carriage 4 so that the axis of a rocking shaft is positioned on a prolongation connecting a grounding point of the tire T onto the running simulated road surface 2 to a rotation center of the tire T, by connecting rockably the other end of the carriage 4 around the rocking shaft in parallel with a tire rotating shaft and moving it to the running simulated road surface 2 side; a pressing load measuring part 12 for measuring a load applied to the tire T from the load application pedestal 5; and a rolling resistance measuring part 10 for measuring a rolling resistance force from a force applied to the carriage 4 along a tangential direction of the tire T.
