<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage unit configured to enhance the positioning accuracy of a liquid-jet head with respect to a carriage, to provide a liquid-jet recording device and a method of fixing the liquid-jet head. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The carriage unit 62 includes: the liquid-jet head 4 and the carriage 68 which moves relatively in parallel to the recording surface of a recording medium. The carriage is provided with a head supporting member 82 with a guide groove 95 formed therein, and a sliding member 81 including pins 88 and 89 that are made movable along the guide groove. With the movement of the sliding member in the longitudinal direction, the liquid-jet head is positioned in the longitudinal direction in the carriage. With the movement of the pins along the guide groove, the liquid-jet head is pressurized by a first biasing member 102 so as to be positioned in a short-side direction, and also, the liquid-jet head is pressurized by second biasing members 92 and 103, so as to be positioned in a height direction, accordingly, the liquid-jet head is configured to be fixed to the carriage.
