A mobile station device uses a plurality of component carriers, which are bands within an initially set frequency bandwidth, and communicates with a base station device. The station is provided with a control unit which sets values relating to transmit power for each component carrier in response to the number of component carriers to which radio resources are allocated; and a transmission processing unit which adjusts the transmit power of each component carrier based on the transmit power value set by the control unit and transmits signals using the radio resources of a plurality of component carriers. As a result, in a radio communications system using a plurality of component carriers, it is possible to adjust transmit power control in response to the number of uplink component carriers used for transmission, and it is possible to transmit signals with a waveform suitable for a radio communications system.
