<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit viewing of television broadcast program anywhere at home and permit connection to a network such as the Internet or the like, without being influenced by connection with an antenna cable or a communication line. <P>SOLUTION: Channel selection device 1 and display device 2 are embodied as separate objects. Broadcasting signal is received and selected by the channel selection device 1. A transmission signal is formed from the signal whose channel is selected and wirelessly transmitted. A wireless signal from the channel selection device 1 is received by the display device 2 and an image in accordance with the image signal of the received signal is displayed by a display element or an LCD (liquid crystal display) 25.
