<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that efficiently prevents image deletion, thereby forming a stable image having no image defect. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus measures: the period of rotation of a photoreceptor 11 that rotates and forms an image thereon in a preceding JOB, and the time elapsed from the end of the preceding JOB and the stop of the photoreceptor 11.
