PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine insulator and a rotary electric machine stator, which can prevent a winding collapse of winding without need of a large-scale change of a winding apparatus. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine insulator insulating a core 50 of a division stator core of the rotary electric machine and a wire wound around a periphery thereof includes a step part 21 comprising a protrusion bar part 21a which is arranged on a slot face 11a and is extended in parallel to a rotation axis direction of the rotary electric machine and a chamfering part 21b which is arranged in connection to the projection bar part 21a and chamfers an angle formed of the slot face 11a and a face 11c connected to the slot face 11a.
