Fodder is produced by milling a fresh, rapidly decaying, nutritive substance; admixing a dry, nutritive substance; dividing the pulp so obtained into small portions; and drying them with hot air under mild conditions to a residual moisture content below 15%. The pulp may be thickened with chopped straw or hay. By this method, valuable feedstuffs can be preserved without losing their nutritive value. |
