PURPOSE:To freely select a screen desired to be viewed by designating an optional area in a pattern during display by the user at a receiver side and displaying the part while magnifying or reducing it. CONSTITUTION:A displayed screen transmission section 12 receives video information picked up in the wide angle mode. The user uses a displayed screen control section 13 to designate an optional area as desired in a video image displayed by a video display section 11. Then the displayed screen transmission section 12 magnifies the video information of the area designated by the displayed screen control section 13 into a display area of the video display section 11 and outputs the result to the video display section 11. The video display section 11 displays the inputted video image. Furthermore, a command transmission section informs the video area designated by the display pattern control section 13 to a sender side as a command. The sender side by the command sends only the video image of the designated area to the displayed screen transmission section 12. Then the display area of the video display section 11 is magnified and the information is outputted to the area of the video display section 11.
