The reel has a drum for accommodating objects to be wound, which are automatically rolled up by resilient force after removing a lock. A braking device is provided such that braking effect during rolling up the objects is larger than during unrolling the objects. The braking device direction-dependently acts between a fixed holder for the drum and the drum. Rotational displacement pumps e.g. vane-type rotary pumps, operate in two rotational directions. A throttle (31) adjusts flow resistance of channels (22, 23) with ports (24-27). A non-return valve (30) is provided parallel to the throttle.
