<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an image having an intense lightness difference so as to enable ready viewing of the image by comparatively simple information processings. <P>SOLUTION: The lightness levels of respective pixels of an image 15, constituting a video image photographed by a rear camera 11 attached to a hydraulic shovel 1, is detected. Respective pixels are divided into each predetermined lightness range, and the image 15 is partitioned into each lightness range, based on respective divided pixels. The size and the lightness of each partitioned area are respectively compared with predetermined determination values to determine whether each of the partitioned areas corresponds to a dark area, and the lightness levels of respective pixels in the partitioned area determined as the dark area are made to increase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
