<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a standby image without losing the visibility of the standby image. <P>SOLUTION: A foreground image generation part 109 reads standby foreground information from a foreground information storage part 111 and generates foreground image information. An image synthesis part 103 synthesizes pickup image information generated by an image information generation part 101 and the foreground image information generated by the foreground image generation part 109 according to a standby foreground display position corresponding to the standby foreground information stored in the foreground information storage part 111.
