PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric machinery or an electric motor in which magnetic saturation is avoided without thickening end parts of magnetic poles. SOLUTION: The electric machinery (10) includes a permanent magnet rotor (11) and a stator (12). The stator (12) includes a plurality of magnetic poles (18, 19), and each of the magnetic poles has the front end (27) and the rear end (28), with respect to a rotation direction of the rotor (11). The front ends (27) of the respective magnetic poles (18, 19) are larger than the rear ends (28) in thickness, in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis line of the rotor (11).
