摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane electrode assembly having high production efficiency, increasing gas diffusion, and suppressing flooding, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell including the membrane electrode assembly and having high power generation performance. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the membrane electrode assembly is such that catalyst ink for a first electrode catalyst layer containing catalyst-carrying particles, a polymer electrolyte, and a solvent is applied to a substrate to form a coating film, the solvent in the coating film is removed, at least two kinds of the first electrode catalyst layers having different ratios of the polymer electrolyte are formed, electrolyte ink containing a polymer electrolyte and a solvent is applied to the first electrode catalyst layer to form a coating film, the solvent in the coating film is removed, a polymer electrolyte layer is formed, catalyst ink for a second electrode catalyst layer containing catalyst-carrying particles, a polymer electrolyte, and a solvent is applied to the polymer electrolyte layer to form a coating film, the solvent in the coating film is removed, and a second electrode catalyst layer is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
