PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting groundwater in construction of an underground structure by cut-and-cover, which can maintain the flow of the groundwater by forming a water passing portion by crushing part of a pillar line-type continuous earth-retaining wall in a simple method, so as to reduce a construction cost and shorten a construction period. SOLUTION: In this method for collecting the groundwater in the construction of the underground structure by the cut-and-cover, a chemical splitting agent is prearranged in the part of the pillar line-type continuous earth-retaining wall 4 on a water collection side, constructed in the construction of the underground structure 3; the pillar line-type continuous earth-retaining wall 4 is partially crushed by injecting water into the chemical splitting agent so as to expand it; and thus, the water passing portion 6 is formed in the pillar line-type continuous earth-retaining wall 4.
