PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder and an inkjet recording method which can perform drying efficiently while being able to inhibit a cockle efficiently. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder includes an ink discharge means which drops ink on a recording medium and forms an image therein, and the first drying means 80 for drying the ink given to the recording medium. The first drying means 80 includes a blower means 81 for blasting dried air on the recording medium, heating means 82, 83 for heating the dried air, and a steam supply means 85 for feeding steam to the dried air.
