<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of mouse operation in reading work of medical images. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A display 24 displays an image reading display screen 241 including medical images and thumbnail images. As the medical images or the thumbnail images displayed on the image reading display screen 241 are selected by means of a mouse 25a, they are superposed on the image reading display screen 241, and a new image box 244 is displayed. As a screen constitution changing instruction is input to the new image box 244 by means of the mouse 25a, screen constitution of the image reading display screen 241 is changed based on the input to be displayed on a display 24.
