An IC card (1) has a communication interface (25) which performs data communication with an IC card processing device as an external device and a data memory (22) which stores a record file in which a plurality of data objects are sequentially aligned. A CURRENT pointer setting table (23a) provided in an RAM (23) of the IC card (1) is a management table storing management information of each data object in a record file as an access target in the record files stored in the data memory (22). When a command requesting access to a specific data object is received from the IC card processing device, a control unit (21) of the IC card (1) accesses the data object specified by the command based on the management information stored in the CURRENT pointer setting table (23a).
