PURPOSE: A bottom chassis for a thin film transistor liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to make a bottom chassis light and slim the bottom chassis. CONSTITUTION: An inner layer(210) is formed of a high strength steel plate. An electric Zinc plating layer(220) is formed on the inner layer. A polymer chromium-free pollution preventing layer(230) is formed on the electric Zinc plating layer. All the thicknesses of the inner layer, the electric Zinc plating layer, and the polymer chromium-free pollution preventing layer are 0.5~0.9mm.
