A steering system for a vehicle is disclosed. The steering wheel angle sensor detects a steering wheel angle of a steering wheel. The ECU calculates an estimation value of the steering wheel angle of the steering wheel and compare between the estimation value and the detected value of the steering wheel angle. Thereby, the ECU performs a process of determining detection accuracy of the steering wheel angle sensor.
