The method of preparation of wefts and equipment for its implementation concerns weaving machines with waved open shed where the weft bobbins perform winding movements during the movement of weft insertion devices outside the open shed in order to wind one weft. During the winding process of one weft to the weft bobbin from a prepared reserve, another weft is taken off by the weft insertion device away from the solid form bobbin and put into the prepared reserve, i.e. into an appropriate slot created in the zone before the entry into the waved open shed.<IMAGE>
