PURPOSE: A multiple carrier supporting method and an apparatus are provided to prevent the control channel error and the HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) buffer error by obtaining CFI(Control Format Indicator) in a multiple carrier system. CONSTITUTION: The CELP-CFI is transmitted through a PCFICH(601). A down link grant(811a), a CI(Carrier Indicator)(811b), and the CFI(811c) of the element carrier wave are transmitted through the PDCCH. The DCI of the PDCCH comprises the down link grant, the CI, and the CFI. The CRC is added to the DCI.
