PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method of manufacture thereof for preventing that the electric field is generated among first interconnections are provided to reduce stray capacity in a non-display area. CONSTITUTION: A trimming line(340) is formed in a second substrate. The trimming line divides first and second common electrodes. The first common electrode is formed in the second substrate. The common voltage is applied to the first common electrode. The second common electrode is formed in the second substrate. The common voltage is not applied to the second common electrode.
