A method for sending location related information is provided by the invention.Tthe method includes that: a base station sends the location related information of a femto-base station to a terminal, so as to support the terminal to access the femto-base station, and/or the terminal to hand over to the femto-base station, and/or the terminal locate to the femto-base station, and/or the terminal to locate itself. A system for sending location related information is also provided by the invention, the system includes: a sending unit for sending the location related information of a femto-base station to the terminal. With the sending method and system of the invention, the location related information could be sent, so as to direct the terminal to access the femto-base station, and/or the terminal to hand over to the femto-base station, and/or the terminal locate to the femto-base station, and/or the terminal to locate itself, thus the quality of service of the system is improved. A method and a system for processing location related information are also provided by the invention, and with the processing method and system of the invention, the terminal processes the location related information, so as to facilitate the implementation of the processes for scanning, and/or handover, and/or accessing.
