PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece assembling method for reducing the number of operations for sensing a part to be assembled. SOLUTION: In this workpiece assembling method, a side airbag is arranged in a side airbag assembling part and is fixed in the side airbag assembling part by using screws. This workpiece assembling method comprises a photographing process for photographing three measuring points provided in a part close to the side airbag assembling part, a position calculating process for calculating actual positions A<SB>1</SB>-C<SB>1</SB>of the measuring points based on the photographed images, a first positioning process for calculating the correlation positions of the side airbag and the side airbag assembling part and positioning them based on the actual positions A<SB>1</SB>-C<SB>1</SB>of the measuring points calculated in the position calculating process, and a second positioning process for calculating the correlation positions of the screws and the side airbag assembling part and positioning them based on the actual positions A<SB>1</SB>-C<SB>1</SB>of the measuring points calculated in the position calculating process.
