<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique for measuring dust contained in a liquid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A dust measuring method includes a first filtration process for filtering a first liquid containing dust with a first filter to make the first filter capture the dust, a process for peeling off the dust captured by the first filter into a second liquid of a quantity smaller than that of the first liquid used for filtration in the first filtration process, and a second filtration process for filtering the second liquid containing dust with a second filter having filtration area smaller than that of the first filter to make the second filter capture the dust.
