<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping material 10 that is lightweight, has high damping performance, easily forms a film by an extrusion method when produced, and easily carries out attachment processing via self-adhesion or heat-bonding by including an adhesive layer when used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vibration damping layer 11 contains (A) 20-70 pts.mass of a polyester resin comprising a dicarboxylic acid constituent unit and a diol constituent unit, (B) 30-80 pts.mass of mica scales, (C) 0.1-20 pts.mass of conductive carbon powders, and (D) polyether-based conductive polymers, the content ratio being (A)+(B)+(C):(D)=100:10-100 on mass basis, and surface resistivity at 23°C and 50%RH being less than 10<SP>13</SP>Ω.
