AGENT FOR SUPPRESSING INCREASE OF BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVEL AND FOOD AND DRINK COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for suppressing the increase of a blood glucose level, containing an extract of Lepista nuda highly safe because of one kind of an edible mushroom, or a culture filtrate of a culture product of mycelium of the Lepista nuda as an active ingredient, and having excellent activities for reducing the blood glucose level by possessing high α-glucosidase inhibiting activities.

SOLUTION: The agent for suppressing the increase of the blood glucose level contains the extract of at least one kind of the mycelium and the carpophore of the Lepista nuda as the active ingredient. In another embodiment, the agent for suppressing the increase of the blood glucose level contains the culture filtrate of the culture product of the mycelium of the Lepista nuda as the active ingredient.
