<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock synchronizing method and communication system in which excellent clock synchronism is achieved by a clock packet when transmitting a packet including the clock packet from a master device to a slave device. <P>SOLUTION: The clock synchronizing method includes the steps of: multiplying a master clock by m (m is an integer of ≥2) to produce an m-multiplied clock at a master device; generating a clock packet synchronously with the m-multiplied clock; transmitting packets including the clock packet to a slave device in an order of holding; receiving packets transmitted in the transmission step at the slave device; generating a phase matched clock of which the phase is matched with reception timing of the clock packet, and of which the frequency is equal to that of the m-multiplied clock, each time the clock packet is received among various packets; and frequency-dividing the phase matched clock into (m) stages to produce an operating clock of the slave device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
