<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a polymer excellent in carrier transportability, and a conductive layer excellent in aging stability, which is formed by applying a solution of the polymer; and an electronic device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescent element having a plurality of organic layers containing a light-emitting layer and a hole injection layer between a pair of electrodes, the hole injection layer includes a polymer which is produced by treating an aniline derivative monomer with an organic protonic acid followed by oxidation polymerization, or is produced by oxidation-polymerizing the aniline derivative monomer followed by treatment with the organic protonic acid.
